Independent comparison planner

Compare the work, not just the quote.

Build one consistent brief for conveyancers and surveyors. You can use it without an account, and nothing you choose here is sent to a firm.

How to compare quotations fairly

Send the same facts and questions to each firm. Compare the complete expected bill, the named scope, exclusions, who will do the work, relevant experience and communication arrangements. A quotation is not comparable if one firm has included essential work that another leaves as an undefined extra.

Check regulation and identity independently

For conveyancing, check the firm and individual through the relevant legal regulator and confirm that your lender can use them. For a survey, confirm the surveyor's qualifications, professional indemnity arrangements and complaints process. Do not rely only on a logo displayed on a sales page.

This is a planning tool, not a recommendation

The brief highlights common questions but cannot identify every title, building or transaction risk. Read the conveyancing guide and home survey guide before instructing a professional.
