The comparison planner works independently and does not ask for contact details.
Our planned selection standard
A partner must be appropriate for the service, pass identity and regulatory checks, maintain suitable professional indemnity and complaints arrangements, agree service and data-handling expectations, and provide outcome information needed to monitor quality. Paying more will not buy a favourable editorial conclusion or alter public property data.
What you must see before an introduction
- The partner's legal or trading name.
- Why that partner appears and the method used to select them.
- Whether Properties & Homes may receive a fixed fee, commission or other benefit.
- A link to the partner's privacy information.
- The exact purpose and minimum fields proposed for transfer.
Consent is separate from browsing
Using a calculator, reading a guide or building a comparison brief will never count as consent to an introduction. The final handoff must use a clear unchecked control and a deliberate submit action. If disclosure wording or the selected partner changes, the choice expires and must be made again.
What the audit receipt contains
The consent audit boundary does not need a name, email, telephone number, property address, price or calculator values. Contact details, if a later approved form needs them, must be kept in a separate purpose-limited record with defined retention and deletion rules.
How we will measure outcomes
We will keep comparison starts, consented introductions, partner-accepted introductions, paid outcomes and refunds as separate events. Each event uses a random journey ID and, only after consent, the internal partner and consent-receipt IDs. The outcome ledger cannot accept names, contact details, addresses, free text or calculator values.
Reports will show aggregate conversion and net revenue rather than individual visitor records. A paid outcome cannot be recorded before partner acceptance, and a refund cannot exceed the revenue already recorded for that journey. No outcome collection is active while partner introductions remain disabled.
What happens next
No partner handoff will be switched on until there is at least one contracted primary partner and a fallback, due diligence is complete, the real processors and retention periods appear in the privacy notice, and the end-to-end consent and deletion journey has passed review.
