Rounding and final payments
Interest is calculated monthly and rounded to pennies. Repayment payments use the standard annuity formula; the final row is adjusted to clear the remaining balance rather than leave a rounding residue. At zero interest, payments divide the principal equally. For interest-only, capital repaid is zero and the original balance remains due at the end.
